HR Block, Not There When Needed
It seems that something changed this year which left me with anxiety, frustration and disgusted with not getting the support I was needing. Verification would not clear and kept going back to the social security section where the program would not allow the social security income box to be unchecked and saying it will be taken care off later in the software. Later I was requested to enter amount from block 5 of my ssa 1099 which I do not get. Block 5 of my csa 1099 is the amount that I pay into my health insurance. My account with social security will not allow access to ssa 1099. My social security profile summary is $0 for income. So I put in $0 for the 1099 but the verification would still not clear. The uper right hand help button was unresponsive, requesting help in the program was not able to address the issue and finally calling would only help with installation and running of the software. So with a hail mary I e-filed my return. Will you help with this should this issue trigger an audit. Been with you guys since 1998. I know I am getting old and stupid so maybe it's time for a tax preparer.

The software works fine, but there is no offline help. So you have to be connected to the internet to do your taxes with any sort of help. NOT USEFUL. Years ago this software had offline help that was updated with each update session. Now your stuck in the wind with no help.

Doesn't calculate health insurance deductions.

Why would you sell a product as appropriate for small businesses that cannot calculate the self employed health insurance deduction? I had to find several publications and worksheets and do the calculations myself. Fingers crossed I did it right.
