My MAC is on Big Sur 11.7.10 and will not update due to the age of the computer. It was a little tricky getting your software to install, but it did and worked fine. I concerned that next year your software will not install. I also have to keep saving the file because your software shut down without notice and I lost my data. Other than this I love the software and have been using it for years. Thanks.

Bought the premium version hoping I could attach my solar energy tax package with my return. Alas, was not able to. Should make that part of the submission so people don’t get audited.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Tried for 2023 return. H&R did something that required a newer computer than I had. Had used H&R for years prior to that with no problems. Situation forced me to do 2023 manually and I had problems. The only good thing about this is that H&R refunded my purchase price. Recently bought a new computer and filed federal but problem with state program. Trying to figure out how to get T-bill Interest income off state return. I thought it would automatically not be entered but that is not the case. After I get 2024 straightened out, I plan to get the 2023 Block program and do an amended return to correct my manual entry. H&R was always pretty easy prior to 2023 but my opinion has changed now. It has been a nightmare the past 2 returns.

Purchase was easy. Installation was flawless. The interview process could use a few improvements, especially now that AI is so much more prevalent. As it currently exists, you type in answers to questions the program needs to fill in forms; and it does a good job at that. But I'm often curious as to WHY certain data is needed. Yes, there are pop-ups you can click on to get some explanation, but with the advent of AI, the program could be more integrated with the real world, and get me answers and explanations.

bought this because turbo tax will not run on my current, old operating system (MAC OS Monterey). Surprise, this program appears to be turbo tax, with a few cosmetic changes. It even pulled in my data from last year's turbo tax. For some reason the program could not upload data from my financial institutions. Got failure errors every time I tried. Had to input investment data manually. I hope Block will continue to provide this software compatible with older operating systems.
