I've used it for years and really like the user interface "interview" style. However, occasionally there will be a small bug in the Apple/Mac version of the software. Also, there are some forms that it does not provide systematically, but instead, helps you print the form for calculations (e.g., if you receive a lump sum from disability you have to calculate it yourself and plug the figures). Overall, it's a good product and I will continue to use it going forward.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

Great Tax Preparation Product

I have been using H&R Block Premium Tax software since 2020, and it has been a consistently great product. It is easy to use but very comprehensive. My tax situation is a bit complicated by the fact I run a consulting business as a sole proprietor. My returns are prepared flawlessly and I get quick results filing online. Each year my previous year data are quickly uploaded.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I've used H&R Block exclusively for years. There is one feature in the free software that would make this program better; the ability to upload PDF files of the W2 and 1099. I received three 1099s, and using the Premium software I have to enter the information manually. Using the free version I can upload it, review the information and that's it. If that is available for the free program it should be able to be included in Premium.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

I find the tax software itself to be quite intuitive and easy to manipulate; however, after filing the return, I found that I needed to execute an amended return. After following the instructions and completing the amended return, I was unable to file through the e-file system because it said that my original return had not been filed, even though it had and I received emails stating that both federal and state returns have been accepted by both the Fed and the state. I also checked the IRS website and found that my tax return had been received. I was expecting to receive an email from H&R Block personnel regarding my issue; however, the email has not materialized, and I am in a quandary as to what to do.

I like the flow of your program a lot and I am used to it by now. I have been using your program now since the tax year 2000. However, I am retired and I help many friends and family members with their taxes. Unfortunately, you have a strange antiquated policy that I am only allowed to E-file 5 of my friends and family's taxes by E-file. They all want to E-file and it should be NO CHARGE to E-file. I am sure that the IRS would prefer everyone to E-file. It should be free. Please reconsider and make EVERYONE happy. Thank you.
