Very Comprehensive but not always user friendly.

The application is very thorough, however, sometimes it is not user friendly. It is difficult to jump to specific pages and, sometimes, I have to start over from the beginning of the return and find myself being brought to pages that I had not previously seen. I sometimes feel like I am missing something when I use the software, which is unnerving. Additionally, I had a 1099-G this year that was inputted, and it didn't seem to make a discernible change to any tax owed. I completed the tax return to the best of my ability and inputted all monies received.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I spend a lot of time entering tax-deductible items only to find out, at the end, that none of it matters because of the Standard Deduction. The program could do a better job of letting you know how much in tax deductions you'll need to come up with for it to make a difference in your refund amount.

Does a good job but I’d like to see 2 improvements. You only provide assistance for full year state residents but there are a lot of nonresident filers. You need to step it up to handle nonresident returns. Also, every year I have to figure out the level of software I used the year before. Why don’t I hear from you with a link to a download and a note that reads, “Hey Sean, In order to save you time we’ve sent a link to download the current year software…..”. Makes it easier for all involved.

Good overall, but it has bugs
on January 13, 2025

I like the software and it worked well for my small business. I found a bug in the reporting of form 8962, Insurance from a health exchange. I got a letter from IRS that the information I filed was wrong.
