who purchaI am an experienced tax pro who purchased a product to prepare my technical return. The software was difficult to navigate and would not import my prior year return. When I downloaded the state my federal return vanished. Help desk was not helpful.

The only issue is not everything carries over from federal to state such as the schedule UE information seems like that could be an easy fix.

Easy to enter info, except for one new, important question. The program asks if the IRS sent you an ID code. If you answer yes, it does not take you to the box where you have to enter it. You have to figure it out yourself. After the 4th rejection I was able to figure out where to put the code. not sure what will happen for 2024. other than that, all worked well.
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Form 1040 and related Schedules are way too complex to accurately file federal taxes these days without a detailed process interview. H&R Block Premium software is invaluable in fulfilling this need.

E-file was rejected without reason explanation

Tried to e-file Fed income tax on 10/14/24 but rejected. I did filing the same way I did for 2023. Passed the validation, unfortunately got a rejection. The frustration was there was no explanation on what went wrong, just 'there may be an error in your filing". Tried a couple of things based on online suggestions without luck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has been fine up to this year (2023). Wouldn't comm. with Fidelity's updated protocols, then wouldn't let me efile. In which case I can't use next time, too bad - all my records for 10+ years are with HRB.
