I was having trouble logging on my Block account that I had used to file in previous years. Apparently there was a system issue. I went ahead and paid to download the software to proceed with filing. I made a bad assumption the software would be able to retrieve my previous returns. Additionally, the software would only let me print my returns and would not let me save a copy to my laptop. Another frustration was it would not download my Schwab account information.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Before the electronic submission, I had to pay to submit the State electronic submission. When I went to submit both together, the Federal submission was rejected due to the fact that someone unknown to me filed my dependents on their tax form. In order to resolve the issue, I had to paper submit my Federal and State forms. The other issue is that I received more from the Federal paper submission than what I would have received from the electronic submission. So the accuracy of the software is off too.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
