If you are not using HR Block Software to prepare your taxes, you are losing money. Your accountant does not know as much as this program offers and it is so easy to use, and fun! It prompts you all the way.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import

I've used several other tax software over the years to file my personal and business taxes. HR Block Premium has been the easiest to comprehend explanations of various situations and complete. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

I have had a business for years. I loaded my prior years return to start with. I entered my business data for the current year The software lost my business data. it allowed me to file my return without even checking vs the prior year to verify everything was right. Do not buy this product
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used Premium for years due to owning a rental property. Sold rental in 2017 after 40 years. Not sure if program handled the long-term capital gains tax correctly and was unable to access Live Chat to discuss it. Was also unable to print the page that showed the Submission Acceptance number.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to fix issues

Could not import W2 on Mac

I've used H&R Block software for a long time and have always been happy with it. Since I've moved from Windows to Mac, this was my first time using it on a Mac. It worked really pretty well for the most part. But every time the application would attempt to import my W2 from their databases, the entire application would crash with no error message. Have seen those type of crashes for about 15 years on software. I couldn't really find a quick way to contact support about it - so I eventually decided it would be faster to enter things by hand than trying to get H&R Block to fix it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to fix issues, Hard to import
