By paying the highest price and not able to e-file your report.
Trying over and over following the program steps. Te results were the same. "Your report was not transmitted"
They took the credit card payment and e-file fees!

Was not happy that there was no way to speak to someone when I was having software issues. Tried to submit amended returrn. Federal was ok, but still unable to complete State. System also was not clear on how to report vacation rental depreciation. Reimbursed business expenses reporting is also troublesome.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to import, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

2017 Taxes Done Right

Step by Step procedures explained to minimize the amount owed. It is Not nice to have to pay - but if you can reduce to amount owed by finding you all your deductions that reduces the amount of pain come Tax Day. The Taxes Done Right Guaranteed is reassuring if an Audit were to occur is comforting.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast

The H&R Block 2017 software did not allow me to claim one of my eligible children as a child tax credit, therefore forcing me to print and mail my return.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to fix issues

This is great if you're a W2 person with maybe a few itemized deductions. But, if you have anything complicated like an annuity lump sum distribution that qualifies for 4972 treatment, you can't get any help when the program doesn't carryover the tax on that correctly.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software oversight caused a lot of extra work

I have been using H&R Block software to do my taxes for many years and have always found it to be accurate, easy to use and very efficient. This year, unfortunately, I experienced what I'll call a glitch in the interview that caused me to have to duplicate a lot of my work. My 25 year old daughter lived with us for more than half the year so I assumed she qualified as a dependent and completed my return accordingly. When I got ready to file, however, the program's automatic review indicated that if she made more than $4,050 that year (which she did) she would not qualify as a dependent. I feel like this issue should have been raised automatically by the interview when I attempted to claim her in the first place.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Does the Job right

We have been using H&R Block software since 2009. Much better than any Tax software that we had used in the past. Filing is quick.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
