I have been using this software for years, and have 2 main issues:
1. Schedule D: I do a lot of trading, including selling naked puts. The software does a good job importing data from my broker, however, it is not programed to “understand” sales that happen before purchase, as is the norm in short selling and put writing, so I am forced to confirm each of those trades manually, since the software flags them as errors. The software accepts expired options (labelled X), so it is not a stretch to allow for naked puts and shorts.
2. Form 8938: I am an expat, I report my foreign bank accounts on form 8938, and the software has now (not last year!) a limit on the number of foreign accounts accepted in e-filing. This is weird. Also, you may need to review the output here: the number of additional sheets is not provided automatically, and, if I have, say, 6 bank accounts, I get 5 additional statements, each with page 1 and page 2, while p 1 is supposed to be a cover for all, and page(s) 2 the additional sheets for each account. This is also not automated, and confusing.
Overall, I like the software, since I’ve been using it for so long. I wish the above issues are taken in account in future versions. Keep up the good work!

I was helping my son using the downloable program and e-filing didn't work on Tax day. I tried to e-file on 4/14 Sunday all night until midnight and tried again 4/15 Monday morning but still wouldn't work. I had to print everything last minute and filed paper returns for both Federal and State tax returns.

I've been using H&R Block tax software for 20+ years after switching from Turbo Tax, and have found it easier to use, and more thorough. It also was able to import my TT return into it's program when I first got started with it, but TT wasn't able to do the same for HRB users.
