I have been using this software since 2015 with no problems but when I went to do my 2023 taxes, the 2022 taxes that I completed and filed was missing. The data just vanished. The icon on my desktop was still there but no information. I needed some of the data for this year but it wasn't there which made doing 2023 a little bit harder since I use the schedule C in my taxes. If it ever happens again, then I will never use this software again. It should have saved my data - all the other years were saved. I don't know what went wrong 😕.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1) why do I have to agree to terms and conditions for a review you kept bugging me to write?
2) This software is less valuable every year. To many questions while preparing taxes have no answer. There is simply no guidance for some of really common tax scenarios.

I have used this software for at least 30+ years since it was called TaxCut. I have never had a single problem and all taxes were filed accurately and completely perfect. Have recommended it to many many friends.

Initially thought there was going to be a penalty on my taxes because a mutual did really well for 2023 and had a large capital gain. The IRS worksheet was used to show why the tax withholding wasn't sufficient and no penalty was owed.

I've been using this tax program for a few years now. Once you learn how to navigate your way through the program, it gets easier. I'd recommend this over turbo tax. Just my personal opinion and my recommendation. A little pricey, but what isn't these days. All in all at least with this program you get what you pay for.
