Been a customer for nearly 20 years. Product keeps getting better each year.
Have used in past for multiple states, installment revenue on property sale, stock options and stock option losses, self employed business, etc.

Have been using this for >10 years, used to be Kiplinger TaxCut. Remains my go-to product, I have a semi-complicated return and always find it gives me resources to complete my return.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare

Don't buy if you received a Form 1099 from broker

I bought this program thinking it would guide me through my various 1099B brokerage statements. It did NOT. It did not properly guide me to the Form 8949 when it should have especially when faced with transactions whose cost basis was not reported to the IRS. The questionnaire should have covered this topic. It is a rather simple question on each transaction.
After I completed the software's Form 8949 to the best of my ability yet I saw changes in the amount I owe vary from 0-$300. This entire process left me with a feeling that I may have paid in to the Government more than I should have. After tax season I may go a HR block office to have them file an amended return because I am so uncertain of the results of this software.
I thought I may need to file an extension. Once I selected this option I could not get out of a software loop until I re-went through the entire interview process. This only takes a few minutes but it took me an hour to try to stop the software from printing an extension.

Pack patience if using the digital downloads, especially if you upgrade from deluxe to premium.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to install

Tough subject made easy

Pretty overall good job. Taxes are never easy when dealing with rentals and miscelaneous situation. H&R does a good job of working you thru it.
