I received a letter from the IRS shortly after acceptance of my federal return. Apparently I was eligible for the earned income credit (EIC), which H&R Block was unable to correctly calculate. Also, the software would not let me manually input a loss from a 1099B.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After years of using h and r I am finally done! Aside from letting an error go through to the first with was should have been easily caught. (The dependent box was checked when there were no dependents listed). Now my college student that has no job and should have been an easy filing is red flagged over $181 rebate. Then trying to navigate and find amounts on forms and lines was a nightmare. Never again!!!

I have used your software for almost 40 years, to handle my often complex tax returns. But this year the server problems encountered the weekend before taxes were due was a disaster. I was forced to buy your competitors software and try to file with them but even that was a disaster as I found out the HR Block software actually filed a return but did not know it. Good grief. What a mess
I would recommend this to a friend!
