AFTER DOING MY FEDERAL ONLINE 2023 RETURN YOU FAILED TO ALERT ME THAT THE STATE OF OREGON DOES NOT REQUIRE ME TO FILE IF MY AGI IS UNDER $8000.00 DOLLARS. WHEN I CHECKED THEIR WEB SITE THERE IS A CHART LISTING THE AMOUNTS AND I WAS $5000 BELOW THE AMOUNT.

It caused me a lot of extra work to try and figure out what HR was getting at with specific comments regarding tax code forms. H&R needs to realize their customers are not tax code experts, and in their software, make sure what they write is easy to understand.

I have been using H&R block for 10+ years for my rental business, I added my real estate business this past year. I do wish it would give me the option of doing a 1040 easy form as I do my kids taxes too. And I also wish the explanations were in easier to understand language.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Personal and Business version. Personal works beautifully, the Business version leaves a lot to desire. Creating 1099-NECs are a nightmare. I finally hand printed the forms with the data on screen. Getting the program to create the form took hours.

Good software but too expensive for simple taxes

A nice guided flow, but was very hard to find how to get the student tax credit.
Trying to up-sell continuously which is very bothering. Expensive software and there are other softwares that provide similar capabilities especially to simple situations, and are less expensive
