We've used H&R Block tax prep software for the last 10 years. Our return is slightly complex as we are self-employed, have rental units, and investment income.
The process is very straightforward almost (dare I say it?) "pleasant."
The only feature missing is the capability to scan and import 1099 NEC forms. Our business receives about 200 each tax season and manually entering them all is tedious.
But all things considered, we're very pleased with the software and recommend it to all our associates.

Taxes are difficult and unless you are a tax pro, understanding the terminology can be daunting. With a few questions I was able to file our return pretty quickly and easily.

No "home" program is completely painless, but this definitely beats trusting your records to someone who only does these every March & April.

I have been using the Premium Software for about 15 years and have not had any import problems. It would not import Charles Schwab investment information. Schwab told me it was your problem and I contacted your office several times and never got any support. As a result I had to enter loads of stock transactions manually. I was able to import Edward Jones and TD Ameritrade with no problem
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
