Good program for most users but could do better

The HRB software is know as a tried and true reliable way to do one’s own taxes. It mostly makes the tedium of tax time straightforward. But it is frustrating when an ambiguous term is used and the help or info link leads to nothing helpful. Or a form is referred to which isn’t in the program. Then you have to go to the web, adding tedium. It is difficult to get help with tax questions. Of course, you can just sign up at extra cost for help or take the return into an office. That is sure what they’d like you to do.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

I have used HR Block and Turbotax software for many years. Both are great & easy to use, but in the end for the price, you cannot beat HRB. Value is a big thing, on top of that, they make it almost impossible to screw up your taxes.
