Federal Software Good, State Software Not So Much

I have used H&R software several years and I am happy with the federal forms. The state forms for a non-resident don’t work correctly.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Collect the documentation, answer the questions, and poof you're done. Even the complicated stuff... done. Yeah, even I did it. I'm no expert. You don't have to be. After a couple years, you won't sweat tax time. Believe me...

Eighteen consecutive years of desktop software I've been able to maintain my own taxes, save money and educate myself by one of the most recognizable and reliable brands in their industry. Typically I'm filing by late February or March but due to personal reasons, I found myself filing on the last day of the season.
Luckily everything went through with hardly time to spare but for the first time in almost two decades I was forced to question what next year will bring with what I feel is the best program on the market.

I was not able to download my interest, dividends and capital gains transactions from my brokerage firm as I received an error message in Tax Cut that there were too many transactions to load…I had to enter them all manually. Really???
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
