I’ve been using H&R Block for more than 10 years. It’s straight forward and easy to follow. I don’t understand why we’re charged to file a state return, though.

Have used before with success. Bought program early on special but was difficult to load when I wanted to use. When finished program did not explain how to fix problems.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

This product meets my needs and allows me to complete my taxes in a few hours. A couple years ago I invested in Limited Partnerships and found the entry of K-1 data quite confusing. I don't know if H&R Block has improved this area, but would recommend more guidance on where to enter different portions of the K-1. It was so confusing I decided to not invest in these because of difficulties filing my own taxes.

The interview section concerning IRAs and specifically Roth / Backdoor Roth IRAs is less than useless. It is incomplete, and worse, you can't readily fill in the necessary forms for Roth IRAs unless you are intimately familiar with the forms and find the tiny box that must be checked, and the two fields.that allow direct entry. Fix this, HRB!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have used this software for multiple years without any problems. This year I had a large refund I was expecting. The date for the the update for the form kept getting delayed. The blame was supposedly on the IRS. Meanwhile other software had no issues from competitors. Then when it was available it would cause an efile reject. I also learned other software charge less to file Arizona. I plan to use another brand next year.
Pros: Easy to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The server outage on tax filing day was terrible!!!! Normally a reliable service. I will continue to use this product but if the service outages continue I will switch back to turbo tax.
