There are so many versions of the software it takes some study to figure out which one is needed. Worse is when you get it wrong you just overpay or worse, don't have the e-forms you need. Also they don't submit electronically to my State with probably isn't on them but annoying.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Even if you have some unusual circumstance, HRB software probably can handle it.
Biggest annoyance I have is the repeated emails to schedule a meeting or buy software after I have bought it on line and started my taxes.
