I usually use Turbo Tax, selected HR Block again by mistake. Program difficult to use and explanation often not clear or helpful

I have been using Tax Cut for about 10 years. I originally purchased it because it was much less expensive than the competitors. I really like the ease of using this software, including importing last years data, managing my small business information, and the software check for unusual or inconsistent data entries. I also do other family members tax returns so the 5 free e-files make the purchase even more of a value.

I have used this software for a few years. I have been generally satisfied. This year filing electronically was a cluster. Last day to file is not a good time for your systems to go down. Eventually I was able to file.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

You can't have a tax prep software package that blocks you from submitting your return on the night before Tax Day though mid-afternoon on Tax Day itself. After numerous failed attempts to e-file, I spent half the day on April 15 printing and prepping to hand-mail my return materials, before the site eventually accepted my return.
