Why can’t you include schedules for the PA State return that would allow e-filing—such as the schedule that is just a description of “other income?” It’s a waste of my money to pay for this program when I can’t use electronic submission.

Trash program this year. Spend hours trying to file with no luck due to your bad gateway problem. Had to print returns (paying at a store to do so) certify mail them (paying to do so) and now have to wait longer for my refund. Didn’t even use my 5 free filings. Very disappointing this year.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

My mother was a bookkeeper. She showed me how to do my taxes at age 18. After 30 or so there came a year I needed them done speedily. Tried TurboTax. The speed of using of using software is unbeatable, but the program was just ok. It seemed ...baby-ish? H&R Block's software is faster and more grown up. It's clear, but I can always drop to the bottom of the page and look at the actual IRS form.
Some years I've done work as an independent. Their list of questions is thorough to get write-offs. I recommend it to anyone.
I was part of the many who tried and failed to efile an extension on 4/14 & 4/15/24. Further the error message sure made it sound like it was "my" problem not your servers being down. So I wasted well over an hour of my time and time of my computer engineer son trying to debug my computer. My son did finally look at Twitter to discover many people with the same issue. BUT YOU Did NOTcommunicate the issue until sometime on 4/15. Being down over 12 hours including 4/15 is unacceptable. You did however manage to put a hold on your outrageous fee for filing an extension each of the TWELVE times I attempted to file but you were down. I was getting ready to drive to the post office with my extension and payment when your servers finally came back online. Very BAD service I have used your service for at least ten years. I'm not sure what I'll do next year. I still don't know if I can attach a statement to my return.

I have used H&R Block, formally tax cut, for years. Easy to use and several handy tools embedded in the program. Text time is usually confusing, but this program helps work through the issues.
Been using for many years. Appreciate pre-filling of information from previous return to speed up completion of return. Good communication on status of returns once submitted
At the end of the program where you choose how you are going to pay the tax liability, the program needs to be upfront with a warning that if you choose credit card, it is going to cost you 2.5% or more. Instead, is says something like we will tell how to do this after you submit. At that point, your are essentially committed, especially if you are doing it on April 15. I chose to just take a late penalty because I think that will be cheaper than the 2.5%. I have used your product for many many years. I think you have just lost a customer. In addition, this years program tells me I underpaid last year and owe a penalty. It was your program that told me how much I needed to pay last year! Also, when I tried to import information from my stock account at Charles Schwab, The only account of four that I have that showed up is the custodial account that I keep for my underaged daughter. Very inconvenient.
