Needed to file extension. didn’t work. Hard to navigate between filing and extension. Instruction was confusing and even though said done it didn’t happen

Have been using for approx 10 years. Generally pleased with the software. The lack of communication coupled with the slow server/tech issues on April 14 - 15 however was a massive fail.

Gets the job done - navigation could be improved

I've used H&R Block for the past several years. The mechanics of the program work well but the navigation can be slightly annoying like when you want to see how something is actually getting put on the tax form, there are several steps to pull up the right form and see it. Then you have a new window open that covers what you were already doing. Annoying. The paid state versions are missing way too many forms and have caused me to have to mail returns in because schedules for things like tax credits were missing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

On the busiest tax day of the year, they crashed and told NO customer that it was happening. Then charged for multiple submissions. I am done after using this company for well over 30 years.

I do like the HR Block program overall. I switched several years ago from TurboTax and have not regretted it. I was not happy on Tax Due Day when my e-files would not file - something went down in the HR Block network. It did not come back up until later in the day after I had to print all my returns out for mailing and stand in a horrible line at the Post Office!
