I’ve used for over 15 years and is the easiest to use without missing any details (and no audits). I’ve had friends who had some issues with other programs but H&R Block never has missed a beat!

Filing errors on tax day and no EV credit state

I have used H&R for years. This was my last. Not sure what is up with their dev team but all the 2022 releases were late this year for my amended return. Then have server errors on 2023 tax day. Not supporting simple credits for state, a very unhelpful help through all of it. I am done.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

The HR Block servers where I couldn’t submit my tax returns. Additionally with every attempt HR Block put a pending hold on my credit card for EFiling charges. The repeated charges triggered credit card fraud alerts. Fortunately I was able to submit late on April 15th . Extremely disappointed. Will use something else next year.

#1) program missed that itemizing deductions even though less than standard, minimized my taxes due AMT changes. I had to try it and figure it out myself. It was a $1500 difference. #2) the server failure on April 14/15 was pretty bad when I couldn't connect and transmit returns.
