I've used this program over 5 years and am very pleased with it. I'd like to see better instructions for getting the credit for Foreign Taxes Paid by international mutual funds

Have used this software for many years.
This year my state tax was rejected. No reason given. Found out State does not accept docs until 1/29. Why did H&R not know this before I filed on 1/26? Filed again on 1/30 and it went through ok.

Bad Experience

Unfortunately I was not satisfied with the HR product this year. 1) Claiming rental expenses with income bewteen $100-150K, the program did not show or explain how the total was produced. I had to research tax code. 2) can not get the program to provide filing update for the federal, it just keeps showing the state. 3) Use to avoid mailing in tax return but then when I finish my LA state return I find out I have to mail in documents anyway. Should know this before you make me purchase the e-file. Much of the program just provided input and output, no explaination of how the output was derived.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
