Program is easy to use. I have been using H&R products since it was called tax cut. Always works smoot, until this year. Had troubles during purchase off website. Then when time to file, it kept saying bad gateway. Apparently it did send it to the IRS a couple of times, and I received a rejection notice. Hoping it was only rejecting duplicate sends. Hope next year it has no bugs.

I did my tax return this year and I waited a week before taxes were due to make sure there were no more updates. I was also looking for more contributions I had made. So I went to file my taxes on Sunday night, which was the day before taxes were due And it wouldn’t connect to the server. The next morning and tried to connect again, It wouldn’t connect to the server. I ended up having to mail my tax returns. So I was scrambling that morning before because I wouldn’t have time to get it together. For the largest online tax processing software, it’s unacceptable that your systems were down on the biggest day of the year. That’s your whole purpose is to file tax returns.

Same great software I've used for many years, very easy to get taxes done. However, when I tried to e-file, an error message indicated a possible issue with my machine. After spending hrs trying to resolve, a quick online search revealed issue was with HRBlock. Next day they had a message on the filing page admitting their issue but with no resolution other than they'd help me file an extension! I ended up at post office for an hr mailing return. VERY disappointed in HRBlock this year.

Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block software for a number of years now. Though I like the questionnaire overall, some areas such as IRA / Roth IRS section could be more explicit. I used a wrong basis for 2022 federal tax return and ended up overpaying $420. It does not appear to be straight forward to amend my 2022 tax return.
