Overall a good tax software package. Just one very specific complaint: Entry of Medicare Part B and D premiums. This entry page immediately follows a entry page in which you pull off data from my social security tax document. This document includes dollars pulled by social security for these Medicare parts so those were the dollars I entered on the following input page. The wording for these premiums paid input does not say if you pull these numbers off the social security tax dicument or ??? It’s too late now but I now think that I really needed to sum up these SSA payment deductions along with my actual out of pocket payments I paid for Medicare through out the year. If so this should have been explicitly stated in your tax software.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have used HR Block premium for 10 years. This year I had two significant problems. First, two forms that I needed for my state taxes were not included in the program. I had to find the forms online and fill them out manually. The forms required a lot of manual data entry and calculations.
Second, the program kept giving me a "bad gateway" message when I tried to file a simple return online, and to try again later. It entered a charge on my credit card each time I tried even though the filing did not go through.

There seem to be a slight glitch on the software. It gave me an incorrect refund amount. Its good I started from the beginning of the program again, still using the same figures. Finally, the software was able to arrive at the correct amount.

I had a really hard time filing and then when I finally got to the last day I believe it was at the point that it wouldn't get rejected and so I tried to file again on 04/15 their system was down. I had to print it all off and mail it in which defeated the whole purpose of e-filing.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Love the program but this year I wasn’t able to submit my daughter’s returns because of some bad gateway issue. We had to print, get a check from the bank, then go to the post office and mail certified mail……not happy.

I have used this product for years. It is easy to follow, importing documents and really doesn't take long to get the work done with the proper documents in hand. Even if you forget some documents, it is very good about letting you know what you may use or forgotten. Love using this.
