I have been using TaxCut since 1992?(whenever it came out) It is easy to use and has helpful hints for questions that I am not familiar with. (most of the time they are unusual situations). Everything prints out easy to read.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have tried different tax software services but I always feel more comfortable using H&RBLOCK because the detailed parts of the program make complicated tax situations seem easier and the clear iclear instructions give me the confidence to proceed step by step knowing that I have expert guidance.

After 30+ years of using TurboTax, I switched to H&R Block after a kerfuffle involving a TurboTax community forum. I did nothing wrong, but TurboTax chewed me out. So I said goodbye and I’m glad I did. H&R Block software is easier on the eye, wonderfully functional, and once I got the hang of it, which took maybe 30 or 40 minutes, I was breezing through my return, which involves a home-based business and multiple RMDs. Kudos to H&R Block for doing it better.

Accurate, but clunky

This software has improved somewhat in recent years, and it IS accurate. However, for occasionally users (once yearly) and newbies it is somewhat clunky and difficult to navigate. I realize that the US Tax Code is vastly complex to the point of citizen annoyance but the software could be simplified in quite a few ways.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
