I’ve been using this tax software ever since I started filing my income tax returns online. Probably about 10 years now. It never failed to amaze me how easy and detailed to follow the instructions. It provides good explanation when you’re in doubt.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I have used the H&R software for years and every year I tell myself to find something else but stay with this because it comes closest to covering all of our tax scenarios. However, this year I found calculations in the software that were wrong. I had to override and file the forms through a different medium. So, it’s not a good value for me.

Failed To Transmit

What a big disappointment. First time since 1984 that I had to file an extension because HR Block failed to transmit my return. I tried on April 14 and then again on April 15. Kept on getting gateway error messages. I was not alone in this fiasco.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this for more years than I can recall...finding it much mote difficult to cover all the basis this year.
For example...not clear why on my 3rd ho around...without changing any values on it..my home energy credit changed unexplainably...and couldn't find anything it.

for a California return, doesn't do health care penalty, for people with ITIN doesn't do EIC even California web does. very disappointed.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

I have used softtware for years, lost many hours trying to efile last night & today with no apparent effort from company to explain what the problem was. after 12 hrs found a website that diagrammed nationwide server problems with no company explanation.
