Very user friendly

I love the FAQ features to practically each of the interview questions. Although right at the end when one is going to e-file one's taxes, there is a button to push that says "Your return will now be transmitted to the IRS". There should be an FAQ or note that says that the ability to UPLOAD any additional documents will be available AFTER you push that button. It was very scary to push it not knowing this for sure because of course after your files are transmitted there is no turning back. Please ADD THIS IMPORTANT NOTE!

Problem with activation code. Was rejected as been used 5 times. Talking to software specialist Peaches, it was straightened out quickly.

I use this program every year. It works great. Have never had a problem with it. Downloads quickly. Everything is accurate.

Easily Handles Complex Tax Issues

Most helpful features are importation of previous year's data and importation of dividends, interest, and capital gains. Areas that need improvement are itemized lists that don't provide association with specific entries, a "Planning" section that is unclear and difficult to use, and no way to do state tax planning or print state estimated tax forms.

No iBond support for refunds

Does not provide support for Form 8888 to use up to $5000 of my return for the paper iBond. I will change software if not included for 2023, after many years with H&R Block

Working on Mac

I have been using H&R Block software since 20 years or so. However, since 2021, I am having a very bad experience with the software since I have the software on Mac. I did report the problem for 2021 too. The problem became worse for 2022. The problem is I cannot enter data using interview. After I enter any data, the program crashes. I had to use the form for every entry. it is very painful and error prone. I had reported this problem again in sometime back in November 2021 for 2022 return. The worse situation is when we enter the bank details, there is no form for that. My daughter used web version and it trapped her to use tax-pro service and they are absolutely irresponsible. I do plan to change software next year onwards.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
