I have used the H&R Block software for years with great results. I tried the premium online package for the first time and was dissatisfied, so I switched back to the downloadable version, which was great. The online product may be OK for basic level, but is not satisfactory for more complex taxes.

Pros: Fast

I rarely write reviews, but I sincerely appreciate h and r blocks tax software. The interview guides you through the process by asking questions which is super helpful if you are unsure about your situation. I have used it for years and ow that our financial life is more complicated I don’t know what I would do without it. I highly recommend it!

Moving around in the software to get to a particular topic is a little clunky. I do my own, my sister's and my daughter's taxes. It takes me a day or two to get the returns filed (Only one state return in the mix). IRA contributions, Schedule C, investment gains and losses, but not very complicated returns.
