Straight forward, user friendly, great value

I had used Turbo Tax for several years, switched to H&R Block about four years ago and am very happy I did, very user-friendly and straight forward questions, not to mention a much better value.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

May be the last time I use this software. The previous year work sheet put pure junk in the fields it populated automatically. Messed up the AGI from last year and caused me to have to refile 3 times so far.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to fix issues, Hard to import
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was my first year to use HR Block instead of TurboTax. The motivation to switch was based on the price of the software coupled with the fact that HR Block claimed to be able to import last year's TurboTax return. I am pleased to report this is indeed the case and the import was flawless. I used a 1040, Schedule A and Schedule C.
My only negative comment: I purchased the "Federal and State" package since it was the same price as "Federal" - even though I didn't need State, I thought I'd at least look at it to see what other features might be there. Whether because of this choice, or because of a bug, the program NEVER prompted me to add the State Sales Tax deduction. I remembered that I had never entered it, and had to manually go to that section and add it, which made a multiple hundred dollar change to my refund.
Beyond that, while the program has a little less 'flair' than Turbo Tax, I see no reason to switch based purely on that.
