Been using H&R Block tax software for 12 yrs.
Seamless data importation to include unused IRA basis amount, previous year’s depreciation (rental property). I set up a pro forma return for the following year as a “What if…” when estimating taxable income for the coming year, how much additional tax would be levied at different totals of Traditional-to-Roth IRA conversions.
I use spreadsheets to track rental income, expenses, taxes, insurance , etc. to date, the H&R Block software has caught MY mistakes I go back to my spreadsheet to find missing links, incorrect formulas or sums. Once it matches the tax software, we match to the dollar. Peace of Mind is everything in tax preparation. Great value !

The software is great, easy to use. I have been using this brand for nearly 20 years. My only complaint is that if you ever want to open an old tax return you have to have the software for that year. The current year cannot( by design) open a prior year. This mean that you have to keep old versions of the software. This takes space on the computer hard drive.
