Been using for many years. We have fairly complex returns with itemized dedutions, capital gains and stock options. We purchased a rental property last year and fully expected to need a cpa, but just worked through the step by step interviews and completed myself no problem. Well worth the price.
For the second year in a row, my MacBook Pro crashed at several points while doing my taxes while using the most current OS. I was forced to use my older MacBook Pro to get it to work. I have used H&Rblock for more than 10 years. I'm disappointed they can't get this right.
Decent software that has all the forms and instructions I need to do a complete report. Disapointed with the efile this year as my return was rejected, redone, rejected, rechecked and rejected a third time. there ere no omissions , incomplete forms or problems found with the return. It appears to be due to a software glitch with either the H&R software, the transmission, or something on the IRS receiving correctly. In the end I had to print the forms, write a check, attach additional documentation of W-2s etc. and then go to the post office and mail it all in. First time that's happened in 6 years or more of using the software. Efile is one of the reasons I've liked this program and I hope that next year there's no problem. If there is I'll look to other options
Ask too many non relevant questions. Some state forms not available and so still need to be paper filed. Does not calculate the 2023 Estimated tax due by quarter.
