The federal worked great but the state (KY) seemed to be glitchy. I'm not sure if the finished result was correct. I got the same exact numbers with different filing status, which always years before gave me vastly different results. It also seemed to give me a result before I was finished.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Does a decent job for a reasonable price.
Not as user friendly as Turbo Tax. Navigation is not as clean/east, and the questionnaire wasnt quite as good.
Navigation from a calculated entry box to where the data comes from is also not as good.
Help mostly consists of taking you the the irs website and leaving you to your own invstigations, where as Turbo Tax has more built in explanations.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

I’ve had issues with downloading the software this year. Both the initial download and all updates created problems. Final update took over four days and lots of reboots before it would let me finish filing.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Problem in Massachusetts schedule B mini-worksheet

You need to change MA state program which put U.S. sch D line 4 amount directly into MA sch B mini-worksheet short-term gains and losses line b Fed gain/losses. Before I could file, this field was flagged as ERROR. I zeroed out the worksheet entry. From Fed form 6781 I multiplied by .4 the total gain on line 2 and the total loss on line 2. I placed the 40% gain and 40% loss into MA worksheet line b under Total Gain and Total Loss columns. The program then computed the Federal Gain/Loss line b. The number was the same number that had been flagged in error, but it didn't pass, because the 40% gain and 40% loss were missing.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
