I've been using the H&R Block tax software for a decade or more, so that attests to its ability to get the job done for our family. I've always used it to file a 1040 long form, including Schedule E for rental real estate property and the state form too. I love the way it imports data from last year's return so that I don't need to repeat all the basic information. The queries make sense and are supported by additional information if you need it. Ordinarily you proceed from query to query, but you can jump around at will queries already completed or skipped, between federal and state, and even dive to the data being entered into the forms themselves. Never had a rejection.
Pros: Easy to prepare
