I’ve been using HR tax preparation products for over 20 years. I’ve always been pleased. A few years back I did try a competitor, but wasn’t satisfied. I’m part of HR tax preparation program for life.

Good overall. Have used it for years. Stock trade reporting for certain options transactions is still disappointing for a "Premium" software. Could benefit from more attention to detail on processing the transaction downloads from stock brokers.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I don't think H&R software is as user friendly as TurboTax. Many of the descriptions, especially on more complex forms looked like they were right out of the tax code instead of translated to laymen's terms. There were WAY TOO MANY pages with a single yes/no questions - why not put several questions on one page?
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
