I have gone into the offices for the last 5 years. This year I finally bought the sw to try it on my own and to was amazing. I am supremely confident, based on the ease of use, that I got the same results had I gone in, yet I save myself about $400.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

2019 tax cut premium

I've used tax cut for many years, this year the program had some design flaws
which I had to work around and therefore I feel that even though it did the job it was not up to the standards the previous programs.

I've used H&R Block tax software for many years and I'm completely satisfied. The instructions are easy to follow and the return transmits smoothly to the IRS and state tax agency. This year there was a slight glitch because the software had to update before I could file and the program didn't tell me to close the software before I updated it. I had to go through the update sequence 3 times before I could submit my returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
