Couldn't e-File at all

The s/w would not connect to H&R Block's server despite extensive troubleshooting. "Help" only suggested what I had already tried. Had to print and file my returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All the "hidden fees" - pay for state files..pay to e file...better off just obtaining forms and mailing them myself...

Nice user interface, however it only ran for a day before it crashed and never recovered. Spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support before they gave up. They said tech support would call back in 3 days, never happened. Eventually I got it working on an old laptop and finished the taxes for this year, but didn't save all the information for future use. Sad.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a really good program, it does most of the work for you. I do have a suggestion. I own a remodeling business so I would like to see more specific help in filling out line items in Schedule C.

It’s pretty easy for self-employed individuals as long as you have your information in order. Some expenses can not be deducted from your income as a self employed individual whereas a business can deduct more expenses, so make sure you report your personal income and not materials cost payments as those are not deductible..

HR NY State program is still lacking and under designed. It fails to adequately calculate NYC taxes, credits, and deductions
