Overall, I'm pleased with the product. My one criticism is that it doesn't handle my 1099-MISC entries well. In my case it's oil and gas royalties. During the audit check, the software seems to check for information that is missing from the documents I've received, and I have to guess at "copy" numbers that the program presents to me in order to complete the audit clearing; it usually takes more than one pass to accomplish this. H&R Block should fix this bug.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Weak Data Transfer-Previous Year To Current Year

I imported 2018 HR Block data for 2019 and get a data validation during the accuracy check. Why would it ask for 2018 data when I imported all of 2018 to start 2019?
I have been using this software for years. It's so easy!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

every tax return for 2019 I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT IS NOT BRINGING FORWARD 2018 INFORMATION. IS ASKING FOR INFORMATION FROM SCH. A EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NOT ITEMIZED DEDUCTION FROM 2018
Good tax software but useless for American living abroad like my daughter, can't fill out correct foreign address, zip code, can't e-file with a foreign address.
Finding the right tax software is a challenge. H&R Block works and asks the questions the way I would approach the problem. I tried TurboTax, and while it is also good, just did not work like I think. I have been using H&R Block tax software for 16 years now and as long as they keep the same architecture and approach, I will continue using it happily.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

I used to prepare a joint return with a W-2 a simple schedule K-1 and itemized deductions and it took way to long to figure it out and get the right refund amount.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
