Very poor way to talk to that know the TAX program that you all put out

Easy to use, but couldn't e-file

It was a great program for computing taxes for farm income. It made it easy, and clear. Unfortunately, I did not realize that you can only e-file with this program from January to tax day. E-file was a big part of why I chose this program.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not So Easy This Year

I've been using this software for several consecutive years now. This year, i had some difficulties with the "interview" - duplications, for example (asking for the same figure in two places, like "Include internet costs here" -was explicitely indicated in two different places, so which place was the correct place? Either?).
I definitey could not have completed my return this year without using the Chat help offered through the software. Be prepared to wait awhile for someone to answer. And it took several chats (many hours) on different days to get final (accurate) answers (be prepared to be persistent), but i succeeded eventually. Very grateful for this essential help, for a real person (tax expert) to ask these questions of (albeit via chat).
I think i might just hire someone next year - this year's interview/return was just too unwieldy. (fyi, Self Employed, Sch C, business use of home, PayPal income, etc)

On the W-2 input, Box 12 should include the Code for Medical (Insurance).
On Rental Property input:
The program should import prior years 1099-MISC Income Payer information for each house so it doesn’t need to be put in each year.
On the Personal Use screen, it should default to “No” personal use as in prior years or value from prior year.
The Rental Expense Results table should show a total so it can be easily be compared to financial statements.

On IRA’s, the program should ask for the value as of 12/31 so it doesn’t have to be put on Form 8606 manually.

Junk, Never mentioned putting money in IRA

Tried to print a single page, wont do it. Wanted print 1040, printed all 6 schedules one on each page, didn't let me select what form to print. Piece of junk.
Pros: Easy to import documents

Can't log out!!!

Does not log how much depreciation has been claimed over the years of real estate ownership. Only logs what is projected to be depreciated based upon initial basis and years to depreciate.
