I am a previous 15 year H&R Block employee. As life changed I was unable to work for them, But I stand behind Block all the way. There home programs as just as good as the software I was using at work.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Have used for many years and this year is was even easier to complete with new tax codes. Quick and accurate.

I have been using the Self-employed "Premium" software for many years. While it takes me quite some time to prepare the summary data needed to complete the software prompts, finishing the form takes very little time. Wouldn't contemplate filing my taxes without H&R's Premium software!!!

I have used H&R Block software for quite awhile when it was TaxCut & when I was a preparer at our local Block offices.
I have found it to be easy to use.

Easy to follow instructions

I have been using H&R Block for years. We used to own an industrial electronics business and H&R Block made it easy to navigate. I now work from home and H&R Block makes it easy by helping me separate and calculate what is used in my home office and the rest of the house. It also helps me calculate business and personal usage of my vehicles.

Very good overall program

I have used this software for the last 8 years, and it has worked very well for me. The only issue I have had is this year, I told the program that I wanted to print and mail my federal return so I could ensure having a copy, then when I told the program I wanted to efile, it wouldn't accept my activation code, and I had to get customer support to change the code. Maybe there should be clearer instructions about even if you choose efile, you can still print or save a copy of your return.

Excellent. Leaves TURBO TAX in the dust

User friendly. Excellent for rental property owners. H&R Block made it very simple. Only problem I have--and still need to resolve is backing the completed form on another source. I had problems with my printer and I wanted export the 1040 so I could print it on another computer.

I just downloaded it yesterday and finished up everything today! No problems with entering data, just followed the 'next' buttons and you walked me through everything very well.
