2018 Tax Software

I have to figure out the e-file rejection code for 10 times and found no place to talk to a customer service rep.
Cons: Time consuming

Every year the product has been improved. Provides access to all IRS forms.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Frustrating glitches

I have used HR software for many years. This year for example it could not transfer the AGI from last year correctly resulting in a reject form the IRS. Makes you wonder how many other items are close but not exact. Instructions and handling of some rental expenses are not complete as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used H&R Block for many years, and I have never been disappointed. As good, and better than Turbo Tax, and much more reasonably priced. You can't go wrong.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Software is flawed

Does not support no loss and no gain for sale of personal home converted to rental property. Support advised me to use adjusted basis for loss calculation despite me sending them Pub 551. Software needs to be updated to account for the situation where there is neither a loss nor a gain.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Lot's of problems

too many problems with the software to count. completely untrustworthy and I will never use this product again.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

it was difficult to go back to the return, I haven't figured out how to look at at the whole return to see if something is missing.a couple pf entries never made it. had to delete the whole return and start over/

Does not let you make a mistake. The program will catch any omissions and allow you to make corrections without returning to the section needing correction.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
