I have been using H&R Block tax program for the last 10 years. Normally it is fairly smooth, and it prompts me with all the necessary questions. This year was a little different. There were several sections that the program seem to stall to take inputs, and during the check at the end it brought up a section to look at - it had a suggestion to erase the input, but instead erase the entire form, which set me back. I haven't had these issues in the past, so I'm hoping it was just this years hiccups.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have used Hrblock tax program for years. Interview part of the program very good but access to professional tax help to clarify a tax question is difficult.

The software is middle of the road from a functional/useability standpoint. You may find, however that if you install the software on anything but the C:drive you are greeted with a host of errors you are not prepared to handle. Given tax preparation occurs at a time of year you are typically busy reinstalling software is an unwelcome task which falls at the end of a number of futile recommendations the manufacturer suggests.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Easy to use, until it isn't. Some forms were missing because "not many taxpayers qualify". When you run a check for errors, it doesn't explain the reason for the error or where you should look to fix the error.
