Was not able to efile my returns even though I used HR Block for 2023 tax return. IRS would not accept my return because AGI was incorrect. But it was correct. Verified 2023 return. 2nd year this has happened and I had to file paper return.

Couple things that were problematic. Some of the warnings found in the final check didn't make sense. The data field needed to be filled in but the program flagged them as an issue. No real explanation of why. Also, I have a managed investment account. The account makes many trades over the year and listing them all individually is tedious. The program seems to have a mechanism for lumping them into Long and Short term but the buy and sales dates don't allow VARIOUS as an option for both ends.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought it because I had used it in previous years and expected it to simplify the process by filling in names and addresses that rarely change year to year. There was some of that, but I had to fill in a lot of those all over again, so that was annoying and time-consuming. As far as new areas, I found a lot of IRS jargon that was poorly explained, and just repeating the terms where I asked for help.
