The program is not as intuitive as TurboTax.There was no indication of how to switch from question prompts to forms when needed to review entries. The rental property part was confusing.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using the H&R Block Premium tax software for several years now and am very pleased with it. If there is something I have a question on, the program will walk you through it and also point you to help boxes. I like the final review at the end as it checks for any red flags or mistakes you might have made or things you may have overlooked. Completing annual tax returns is always a pain, but this software makes it much less so!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

I usually use Deluxe. I've used Block since it was TaxCut. I have a farm and rental houses, so I got Premium this year. I have no words to express how disappointed I am. It didn't import depreciated assets on a house. I had to add in the previous years depreciation and enter it as a new item. Not ideal. It gives absolutely no help on farm data. Yes, the forms are there and when I figure out what goes where it brings it into the return. I can only trust that it's going to the right place.

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

The program crashes often, and is trivial to reproduce. The same problem has been happening for years. I have reported it, but apparently no one cares to fix the issue.

Overall very please with H&R Block Dekuxe software. I got my return completed in a few hours, sent off sort of late, but got US Ann’s state refunds within days. I experienced one cinfusing part, trying to enter my consulting business where for this year I had NO income. The return got stuck. I had to back up and remove the consulting from the return, then everything functioned properly again and completed my return. Otherwise very straightforward to work with.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
