I have used H&R Block software for several years and I have never been disappointed. My one small suggestion deals with the data imported from last year's return. I have a rental property that depreciates every year. There are several methods to calculate the depreciation and you are supposed to use the same method every year. The method I used was not transferred from last year as the default for this year, so I had to review last year's worksheet to confirm the method. I probably would have confirmed it even it it had transferred.

The software seemed to work well for the 10th year in a row. Explanations were pretty clear. A challenge was trying to download info into forms like the 1099s.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

This software was not only expensive but it was hard to use and functioned badly. The method for loading in states simply did not work and required hours on the phone with the support team.
