I love this toothbrush

I bought my Sonic to replace my electric toothbrush I was using for over a decade. It was recommended to me by my boyfriend whose whole family uses Sonic products. It is so simple to use with the built in two minute timer and charging stand. It feels like a trip to the dentist every time I brush with it. It is so effortless to use, just turn it on and let it do all the work. The power of the pulsating brush is awsome and I can tell from a fresher mouth that it is doing its job. I have also noticed my teeth getting even more visibly whiter than when I used my old toothbrush. The Sonic is well worth the money and your mouth will thank you for it. It's awsome!

No-frills electric brush with deisgn flaws

This toothbrush leaves my teeth feeling very clean for the most part, but doesn't do a great job of reaching the concave inner surfaces of my front teeth. I can always feel a little bit of plaque left there after the 2 minute cleaning and I have to go back over the same spots with the brush head at a 90 degree angle. The single speed is enough, and I don't find other features of frills to be necessary. However, this toothbrush has a major design flaw: the body has a cavity onto which the brush head screws, and it inevitably collects water and mold. Wait a couple of weeks, and you'll find a film of mold has grown over the entire inner surface. It's really hard to clean too. When I get a new Sonicare, I will opt for the next model up that has the new style of brushhead that snaps on rather than screws on. No more mold, hopefully.
Pros: simple effective at removing most plaque
Cons: design promotes mold growth, doesn't clean back of front teeth as effectively

It took a while to adjust to the vibrations in my mouth as this is my first electric toothbrush, and I can't say that after 2 months I am comfortable with it, but I can tolerate it. The thick handle makes it somewhat difficult to rotate the brush around in the mouth so the base of the bristles frequently hit my teeth which causes a rattling sensation. The toothpaste tends to splatter out of my mouth, or fall out in globs. The diluted toothpaste gets inside the handle so it seems important to take the brush apart after use and rinse and dry the parts well. HOWEVER, the brush does a fantastic job at cleaning my teeth, and it is a real pleasure to run my tongue over my teeth after brushing! The 2-minute timer is of great help to assure me that I have brushed sufficiently, and I use this timer twice, once for the upper teeth and once for the lower teeth. This tool is of good construction and will last a long time I am sure.

The toothbrushes do not seem to last as long between replacements. The packaging says 3 months, but I am lucky to get a month before having to replace. I used a different style of Philips Sonicare before this one and the toothbrushes lasted much longer, closer to the 3 months advertised.
I do like the recharging component of the one I have now, easier to charge and more sanitary where it touches the charger than the previous style I used.

Purchased as a replacement for on e with worn out battery. Didn't realize that this model did not have the 30 second warning. I probably would have just bought the battery one for less money if I had known. My mistake as I thought all rechargable ones had the 30 second warning.
Pros: does a good job
Cons: no 30 second warning

This is the second Sonic Care tooth brush that I have purchased in the past 4 years. I love it! I couldn't never go back to a regular tooth brush; ever. My teeth and gums just don't feel right without the use of the Sonic Toothbrush.
