FGA-2 not compatable
on February 28, 2022

Contrary to the Kitchenaid Review Team's answer to the question "is it compatable with the grinder FGA-2" it isn't. I ordered the strainer based on that yes answer and had to return the strainer because it does not fit the FGA-2 grinder.

I am in love!

I received my grinder and my fruit and vegetable strainer today. Washed it all up, put it together and did a big pan of tomatoes. It worked like a dream. I was a little apprehensive because of the reviews but every other machine that peeled and deseeded tomatoes had bad reviews. Cleanup was easy and it didn’t make a big mess! This worked for me and I love it.

Great except doesn't fit my grinder

I bought this grinder eager to make some tomato sauce; however, I have an older food grinder (model FGA) and the tabs and strainer code did NOT fit where it was supposed to on the food grinder. I am very, very disappointed. My husband now will try to find a way to make it fit. Don't be fooled--if you have an old grinder, this might not fit.

Doesn’t Come with All Parts
on March 23, 2022

The attachment doesn’t come with all the parts needed to use it. You have to buy them separately. Unfortunately I can’t use the item yet because I have to buy more pieces. They should be more upfront about this instead of suckering you in for money, it’s already expensive enough.

need to buy more!!

I bought and looking at the photos you would think you get the whole strainer - BUT NO!! you don't! You need to buy additional items that KitchenAid doesn't tell you, so when you try to assemble the strainer to make marinara sauce from all the tomatoes from your garden it won't work!
What a rip-off - sell the ENTIRE strainer in one shot.

Consumer Manipulation

Should be compatible with KSMMGA but instead you have to buy TWO DIFFERENT food grinders. I thought KitchenAid was better than this sort of consumer manipulation, but you’re better off getting a stand alone juicer from a different brand

Poor quality; breaks easily

I have processed less than 20 pounds of tomatoes and 12 pounds of apples and the strainer has broken - it separated along the seam. I also had the same issue as many in that i did not realize that you had to buy so many separate parts to get this system to work

Part of an attachment

The attachment is a part of the whole attachment. You must also buy the tray otherwise you cannot attach it. Picture is misleading.
