A TOTAL LEMON!

I have had so many issues with this range from day 1. If I could go back, I would have saved up more money and bought a Viking or a wolf . Thankfully, I’m still under warranty and also had bought an extended warranty. The range is beautiful and when it works, it’s great . The problem is.. it NEVER works. But here is the list of issues I’ve had- 1. Initially when installed, the 20,000 BTU burner would not ignite. After 4 appliance repair calls and visits, it’s because there is a little piece of paper in the burner that has to be removed on installation. Apparently, absolutely NO one at kitchen aid knew this and it took 4 silly visits for me to get this working. 2. The oven doors are not able to align level. When this was evaluated, it appears that there is a manufacturer defect dent in the frame where the oven door goes on- I got this to work with the appliance repair man and continued. 3. The griddle had to be replaced as only the left half would get hot. This was this way from day 1 of installation. Also, the electric griddle only has coils for the front 2/3 on all of these. So dumb. Why wouldn’t I want to use the FULL cooking area???! 4. Now my right oven will not heat. I’m am terribly fearful this is due to the common failure mentioned by others here of it being a problem with the hidden heating element. Praying this isn’t true but according to reviews here, that is not a fixable problem. WHY would you make an oven with an irreplaceable part?
I plan to see how this warranty goes but under these circumstances, I have had so much of my time lost on appliance repair companies coming out to fix this thing that I’m at my wits end. Praying this is the FINAL fix, but I am so tired of this thing needing constant repairs for the last year.
DO NOT BUY!!!

We have owned this stove for over 5 years now and couldn’t be happier. If we wanted change anything we would have bought the 60” instead of the 48” but we are more than happy with the stove. The grill is slow to heat up but is perfect for cooking pancakes. We have dinners with 7 - 40 people and this stove always comes through. Center of the conversation.
I bought this range brand new in 2020. The oven door is mis-aligned and and tech can't seem to fix it. Also bought a KitchenAid fridge, dishwasher, free standing ice maker, and microwave and ALL of them have had serious problems/issues requiring repair. Of course, all issues occurred after their one-year warranty expired and KitchenAid/Whirlpool refuses to do anything about it. AVOID KITCHENAID/WHIRLPOOL AT ALL COSTS. THEIR PRODUCTS ARE JUNK AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS.

Do not buy this oven! If the hidden bake element goes out, you have to throw the oven away they’re nonreplaceable.

Absolutely love this duel fuel 48” range. The smaller over is great for warming up or baking your favorite dish in smaller size. The larger oven is dead on perfect for any large item. The cooktop is no joke. Seriously cooking prowess.
We bought a kitchen full of Kitchen Aid appliances in 2019 when we completed our new home. To date, we have had to replace one dishwasher (with little help from Whirlpool) and our experience with our 48” Smart range is disappointing. The ovens do not heat to temperature, and we are now seeing the interior of the ovens starting to flake and fail. In addition, you get multiple alerts a week regarding the WiFi status. Overall, I would reconsider my purchase knowing what I know now.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 3 weeks ago very happy with the gas range heats things up way faster than the last range. Electric oven by far better for cooking and baking than gas. Self closing doors are a nice touch. On top of all that it looks great.
