Must have product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to finally try a Food Saver. I have always wanted to try it because my family freezes a lot of food, especially meat. Now that I have used the Food Saver, we are able to keep meat for much longer in our freezer, compared to just regular freezer bags we were using. This is very important to us, because no one likes to throw food away. I liked that it came with extra bags to use. It’s really quite simple to use, and my husband and I actually look forward to using it! There is a built bag alignment, ensuring a good seal. Another great feature is the removable drip tray, to catch excess liquid. Having a smaller kitchen, I am very happy that the food saver does not take up much space on my counter! This product is amazing and a must have for every family! Not only will you save money, but there are so many foods that you can keep fresh for longer!

Spending Less on Groceries

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a vacuum sealer before. I was not sure what to expect, but I had hopes that it would help keep my food fresher longer, and save me from wasting food and money. To be honest, one reason that I had not tried one sooner is the size and storage space. This model FoodSaver vacuum sealer has a space saving design. It is compact and does not take up much space on the counter when using it, or in the cabinet when storing it. It was easy to figure out even though I had never used one before. I am Italian and always prepare more food than we can eat. This food sealer allows me to seal and store leftovers without them losing their fresh taste. I was also throwing away a lot of fresh produce, but by using this product I can keep produce fresh longer. It is easy to use. Place your food in the bag leaving at least 3 inches of space at top of bag. Open your sealer and place the open end onto the channel. Close the lid, latch it and press the vacuum. Since our kids are grown, and there is just me and my husband, this smaller unit has been perfect for us.

Good vacuum sealer in a smaller size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very compact vacuum sealer designed to take up less cabinet space than the standard ones for people who don't need to seal large items. It uses 8" rolls of bags and can seal ready made pint or quart bags. If you are sealing a few small items such as burgers or fish fillets it will serve you well but if you want to seal larger items like big steaks or chuck roasts you will need to get the larger versions. It seals well every time and is easy to use.

In LOVE with my new FOODSAVER!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So easy to use,vacuum and seals in seconds. Comes with a starter kit ( bags and sealer roll). I started with my fruit and ended with my poultry. I will be purchasing accessory for my Tupperware. Even kept my half of avocado from turning brown, so excited!

The appliance is also very small itself, so it doesn't take up too much space. Since I live alone, it's a fine size for me & what I need to store.

Not only is the size perfect for the counter and doesn't take up a huge amount of room to store, it re-seals bags like cookie and potato chip and cereal bags perfectly without struggling to get it situated just right in order for it to seal. 1st try always works. Which is a LOT more than I can say for our old one. We always had issues with it. What a great way to keep foods fresh without them going stale it using chip clips everywhere. The vacuum feature also works terrific. No more freezer paper or freezer bags
It's a little on heavy side but that has no bearing to me. It's certainly well made and I don't foresee it breaking. Extremely quiet also.
