I did not realize two important things: this sealer is not even a little bit automatic. this sealer only handles 8inch bags and making your own bags with this is problematic. Not being automatic, the sealer failed to seal approximately 80% of the time resulting in wasted bags. I wrote to support and they said, we are sorry, you have to call. If I had the time to sit on the telephone I wouldn't have bought a sealer. I used and wore out a fully automatic version of the 10" sealer and bought this. I may look for a competing brand now. don't buy the 8"manual sealer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
